  • What size flag should I get for my flagpole?
Depending on the size and location of your pole the flag size will differ. The two most popular sizes for a typical flagpole is 3x5 or 3x6. If you're uncertain about which size you should get feel free to send an email to novascotia@theflagshop.com or reach us by phone at (902)-434-1695 M-F 9-5 and Saturdays from 10-4 ADT.
  • How can I extend the life of my flag?
We love to hear about taking care of your flags. The maritimes is known for the unpredictable weather and especially strong winds and rain. We always recommend taking your flag down for any large weather events. Hurricanes, heavy rain/snow, blizzards; all weather events that your flag has to compete with. The less weather events it has to compete with, the longer its life will be!
  • What's the difference between Marine Grade Nylon and Economy Polyester?
This is a great question for everyone looking into purchasing a flag. Marine grade nylon is a stronger, higher quality material that is used for the military ships. We recommend it for use of outdoor flags to get a longer life. Economy polyester is not as strong in quality but is more affordable. They're a great choice for indoor flags or something you need for a one day event.
